Brand designs in the swimming world tend to be fairly dull. This is likely due to small marketing budgets in these community/non-for-profit clubs.
So when Jeremiah Teo, Director or Prime Time Racing approached me for a fresh look, that would cause waves, I jumped at the chance. After spending 10+ years being a competitive swimmer myself, crafting a swimming brand has always been a dream.
After a few conceptual meetings, I wanted to implement a brand inspired by the big college sports teams in the United States.
Starting with vector shapes, a lion was crafted and a new identity soon followed. The roll out was then placed across a variety of mediums, with a website in the pipeline for 2017.
The new brand can’t be missed in Auckland’s dull swimming market.
